Case TeleComputing

TeleComputing is a Scandinavian service provider headquartered in Norway delivering IT as cloud services to customers in Norway and Sweden. Our customers may access all their applications and data from any device, at any time and from any location with network access, and the services are charged by usage, on a subscription based model. A total of more than 75.000 end users consuming more than 2.500 applications are of course supported in English or Scandinavian languages based on end user preferences.

Widely recognized as an ASP pioneer, TeleComputing is proud of also being among the few selected Microsoft partners invited to join the world wide Cloud OS Network of leading service providers.

MISSION:

As a Service Provider, TeleComputing needs to be constantly looking for opportunities to increase customer value as well as improve operational efficiency.

SOLUTION:

Microsoft Cloud OS and the Cloud OS Network (COSN) is regarded as a way to improve both value and cost. Building on Cloud OS means TeleComputing can offer services consistent with Microsoft Azure across Microsoft's hyperscale international datacenters, TeleComputing's local datacenters in Norway and Sweden or even at customer's premises. This means a unique flexibility and scalability. Building a Cloud Fabric based on Cloud OS, utilizing Hyper-V, System Center and Windows Azure Pack also means reduced cost and increased operational efficiency which is equally important.

"Both Kristian Nese and Innofactor with their professional approach, expert knowledge and well-formed method for sharing knowledge has ensured TeleComputing to take advantage of many of the early adopters key strengths while avoiding many pitfalls. Our experience with Kristian Nese and Innofactor encourages our desire to continue to work with them on future projects," says Jon Espen Carlsen, Lead Architect, Telecomputing.

RESULT:

Some of the key advantages with Cloud OS is the level of abstraction for our key components in the infrastructure such as compute, storage and network. Which again facilitates better automation, monitoring and quality of services due to a more flexible datacenter. This further lowers indirect cost factors and increase quality of services as well as customer satisfaction.

Kristian Nese has been instrumental as an advisor in workshops regarding key design choices and strategies for Windows Azure Pack and Cloud OS, as well as contributing with some excellent deep dive courses and training session for our senior staff, concludes Jon Espen Carlsen.

"This is a customer case from Lumagate, which was acquired by Innofactor in 2016."

"Our experience with Kristian Nese and Innofactor encourages our desire to continue to work with them on future projects."
